I've had the Asus Slate for a few week currently, and i have place it through its paces. Overall, i am extremely impressed.
Summary:
Pros
+ It's am passionate about it was was created for OneNote - stylus input and handwriting recognition are unimaginable
+ Screen is extremely bright and crisp, nice viewing angles
+ bit input expertise is sweet still, supports pinch zoom, etc
+ Fast, responsive, boots fast, runs Win7 apps well, sensible expertise with workplace suite
+ Email and internet browsing is surprisingly simple with either bit or stylus input
+ will handle some higher finish games, though not a gaming machine
Neutral
= Was expecting it to be too significant however was pleasantly shocked that's wasn't
= Was expecting the Win7 bit expertise to be terrible, however it wasn't unhealthy
= is dear however massive if you compare it to a laptop with a core i5 and active digitizer
Cons
- Battery life is dismal
- Password entry isn't fun, would like it had a fingerprint reader
Important tip - ensure to put in the optional firmware update to the digitizer from Windows Update.
